I’m remembering my friend, Bob McDonald in the very early years of Moodlerooms. We didn’t have an office for him and his house didn’t have a fast internet connection. His solution was to park his pickup in a hotel parking lot, turn the engine off (to reduce noise), and do his sales call on the hotel wifi.

This system worked well on days when it wasn’t really cold or really warm. On those extreme weather days, his life was complicated by the fact that usually one of his dogs spent the day with him in the car. With the engine off, the summer temperatures could could really heat up the cab and this created some heavy breathing opportunities for Einstein or Blaisey.

“I’m sorry, what heavy breathing?” Bob was frequently asking the prospects on the call.
